Dallas/Fort Worth 3-Day Route Preview

The Dallas/Fort Worth 3-Day is back after three years! Walkers, crew and volunteers will not be disappointed as this year’s route has some wonderful sights and scenes to be enjoyed over our three-day journey. Don’t forget when you’re out walking to take pictures, post them on your social media platforms and tag us using #DFW3Day for a chance to be featured in the 3-Day social feeds!

We are so excited to reunite the Pink Bubble at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas. This hotel is not only where we’ll start the route on Days 1 and 3, but also where the Opening Ceremony and Honor Ceremony will be held, as well as 3-Day Main Street and everything it has to offer!

Day 1 will start off with an exciting and emotional Opening Ceremony where our breast cancer survivors and those living with breast cancer will lead us out onto the route. Once departed from the hotel, we can expect gorgeous views of the Dallas skyline right off the bat. We’ll head into the Oak Lawn neighborhood and walk on and off its Turtle Creek Trails. Next, we’ll pass by the Dallas Country Club before we wander into University Park. Here we’ll cheer on the Mustangs as we pass Southern Methodist University! We’ll start winding down the day with some amazing photo opportunities, passing the Dallas Museum of Art, and the famous Giant Eyeball Sculpture!

Day 2 will start with a fun bus ride to the beautiful city of Fort Worth! We are so excited to bring the 3-Day back to Fort Worth and can’t wait for you to see this day’s beautiful route. The drop-off and pick-up point will be the same, with a bus ride taking participants back to the Hyatt Regency in Dallas after completing the route.

We’ll start our journey in Fort Worth seeing Baylor Medical Center. Be sure to take out your phones and cameras, because next up is Magnolia Avenue! It’s a hip, fun and picturesque street filled with restaurants and shops galore. The photo ops don’t stop there, because next up is the Fort Worth Water Gardens. We’ll then pass the Bank of America Tower and Farrington Field before reaching the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens, as seen in the photo above. We’ll end Day 2 at Trinity Park, where buses will take us back to the Hyatt Regency for dinner and our Honor Ceremony.

Day 3 will start from the hotel as we did on Day 1, exploring more of what Dallas has to offer. First up on our last day together is the Dallas Farmer’s Market! Then we’ll make our way onto the Santa Fe Trailway, where we’ll spend most of our morning.

Walkers will then get to see Dallas’ beautiful White Rock Lake before heading into the neighborhood of Swiss Avenue. Our final miles together will include Dallas’ Main Street Garden Park and visiting the Giant Eyeball Sculpture one last time before arriving at the Finish Line Festival at Reunion Tower for our memorable Closing Ceremony.

We’re so excited to reunite for the Dallas/Fort Worth 3-Day! Will you be joining us? Let us know in the comments. Don’t forget to stay tuned for our route preview of the San Diego 3-Day coming soon!

2022 Chicago 3-Day Route Preview

The Susan G. Komen Chicago 3-Day is returning for the first time since 2013 and we couldn’t be more excited! We’re giving you some key sights you can expect to see each day on this spectacular route. Don’t forget to take pictures when you’re out walking this year and tag us on our social media platforms and use the hashtag #CHI3Day for a chance to be featured!

The land of deep dish is hosting us at the wonderful Marriott Marquis, where participants will begin each day of the route, enjoy the offerings of the 3-Day Main Street, eat dinner and come together in the Pink Bubble.

There’s always so much excitement on Day 1, and the Chicago 3-Day will be no different. After the Opening Ceremony, participants will start their 60-mile journey and make their way towards the iconic Chicago Riverwalk. This is a wonderful photo opportunity! Keep an eye out for a sight-seeing boat on the Chicago River because that’s one of our special Chicago scavenger hunt items!

We then travel through the Magnificent Mile, an upscale section of downtown Chicago along Michigan Avenue, and finish the day off passing Wrigley Field! The Cubs are taking on the Rockies at home, so we are certain to see lots of Cubs fans!

Before we dive into Day 2 details, there’s one important note to make: On this day, participants will take a fun bus ride to the starting point of the route, and at the end of the day’s route, will return to the Marriott Marquis on busses. This will allow us to see some beautiful parts of Chicagoland that we wouldn’t be able to get to on foot from the hotel.

Day 2 will start with our Bank of America Breakfast of Champions, recognizing this year’s top fundraisers! After that short bus ride to the start of the route, walkers will tour the Chicago suburbs of Oak Park, River Forest and Forest Park.

We’ll see many historic homes built by Frank Lloyd Wright, along with his studio — can you get a picture of each one? The historic scenery doesn’t stop there, however, as we also pass by Ernest Hemingway’s boyhood home and his birthplace museum!

We will end Day 2 full of art and architecture as we see Oak Park’s iconic mini murals before taking a quick bus ride back to our host hotel for one more night of Main Street fun and relaxation, followed by dinner and our moving Honor Ceremony.

On Day 3, get your kicks because we’re passing by the Route 66 begin and end signs! The final miles of our day will take us down the Lakefront Trail for some beautiful views, and travel towards Millennium Park. This is really where you’ll want to get your cameras out, for pictures at two of Chicago’s most famous public works of art: Cloud Gate (aka “The Bean”) and Crown Fountain!

We’ll wind down our Chicago 3-Day journey at the home of Da Bears, Soldier Field. Though we won’t be kicking field goals on the turf, we can still soak up the spirit of this iconic stadium. Walkers can look forward to our finish line festival and Closing Ceremony here, before we all say goodbye and part ways after three amazing days in the Pink Bubble!

2022 Susan G. Komen New England 3-Day Route Preview

It’s been three years since the Susan G. Komen 3-Day was in New England, and in just a few weeks we’ll be returning to this wonderful and historic route! While we can’t give away all the exciting details, here are some key sites you can look forward to seeing on the 2022 New England 3-Day!

After three years away, the countdown to event weekend has begun! We know you’re eager and excited to get back into the Pink Bubble and explore all the wonderful sights and scenes that Boston has to offer, all while doing everything you can to save lives from breast cancer. And don’t forget while you’re out on the route this year, take plenty of pictures and post using the hashtag #NE3Day for a chance to be featured on our social media!

So here we go! The New England 3-Day is a hotel-based event, and walkers and crew will sleep, eat and visit main street at Marriott Copley Place. The Pink Bubble spirit will be infused throughout the entire experience, so get ready!

If you participated in the 2019 New England 3-Day, the route for this year will look a little different.

On Day 1 of the event, walkers can expect to see the beautiful suburb of Brookline, pass Boston College, return to the suburbs to visit Newton, and finish up by passing Boston University!

On Day 2, we’ll start by touring South Boston, or as the locals call it, “Southie.” Continuing on, walkers will pass by the iconic “Cheers” restaurant and bar. Walkers will then make their way towards Fenway Park, where fans may be starting to gather as the Red Sox take on the Tampa Bay Orioles at home! (And don’t forget to check out our special New England Scavenger Hunt which we will be posting in the Facebook group during the event!) As we approach the end of Day 2 and get ready to take pictures with the “40 miles down” sign, we will walk past the Sam Adams Brewery!

We will start Day 3 strong at the Boston Marathon Finish Line, travel through the beautiful Boston Common public park, maybe get a degree as we go past Harvard University and make our way to The Freedom Trail. As we enter The Freedom Trail, we’ll have plenty of spots for photo ops as we will see the USS Constitution, the Bunker Hill Monument and the infamous Boston Tea Party Ships.

We can’t wait to be in this exciting city as we reunite the Pink Bubble for the first event in our lineup for the 2022 3-Day season!

Are you as excited as us for this amazing route? Tell us in the comments what you’re most looking forward to on the 2022 New England 3-Day. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to your 3-Day coaches.
