San Diego was(is) amazing! Thank you for all the great support. The memories made here will hold a place in my heart forever. This was my second San Diego 3day. Out of my 6 walks it is by far my favorite.
All I can say is WOW!!! This entire experience was life changing for me! I had NO IDEA what I had signed up for when I signed up….and I’m actually glad that I didn’t…what do they say…ignorance is bliss!? It’s only walking I thought!!! 😉 Well….had I know how challenging it was going to be, I may not have done it and I would have missed an experience of a lifetime. Despite the physical and mental challenges, I found this to be one of the most amazingly supportive journey’s of my life. This organization is incredibly well oiled and organized. If only the world treated everyone as the world treated those walking in the 3 Day Walk. Strangers from every walk of life, including little children, and all of the many volunteers including the SDPD…thanking us, encouraging us, ENTERTAINING us, offering us food and drink and love and support and kind words, every step of the way! The gratitude that I felt from the community was immeasurable! I am not sure how I’m going to walk down the street next week after I recover without waving at people that I walk by! 🙂 Even though I’m not yet physically recovered, I can say that I would totally do this again! I will FOR SURE be one of those amazing supporters at the cheering stations along the way for years and years to come! Thank you Susan G. Komen for this amazingly life changing experience. I’m a stronger more actualized person because of this!!!
My first time to crew for medical (always been a walker) and it was amazing! This event is incredibly special and I’m already looking forward to next year!
I am a Virgin walker and this San Diego event has left me almost speechless! The support from every
Person was outstanding. The people of San Diego are incredibly generous and the SDPD were so much fun and worked so hard but never showed it just kept us entertained throughout the 3days!This was life changing and I am so glad I participated. Very special and forever remembered! I did this for everyone I love and who has been touched by Cancer and for my sister who I lost 16 years ago and my BFF who is a survivor!!!
